However, the most magical moment of the tournament was when the team surprised Head Coach Amber Gallagher by helping her boyfriend propose to her on stage. A team of videographers even captured the moment on camera, and she, of course, said yes. The team celebrated by going bowling afterwards, and they all lived happily ever after…

The theme for this year’s tournament was fairytales, and speechies spent the night before decorating the school with pictures of castles, princesses, and dragons. Thanks to the dedicated parents who organized the concession stand and judged rounds, the tournament transitioned smoothly from one round to another, and into the awards ceremony. Amber Dressel placed 4th in Oratorical Interpretation, Salam Picard placed 3rd in Student Congress, and the team of Jihad Esmail and Ahmad Amireh placed 1st in Public Forum Debate.
