The Liberty High School Theater Club’s production of ‘Our Town’ was a huge success. The Opening Night production took place on April 16th, 2021 at 7 PM in the LHS auditorium. The turnout for the production was exceptional, many friends and family members came out to support the production. While helping with this production, I had the pleasure of speaking with one of the cast members about her thoughts and experiences during opening night. I spoke with Breanna McCain who played Mrs.Soames in the production.
When I asked Breanna about her thoughts and overall experiences with the production, she commented that she felt the show went fantastically. She said despite struggling on some parts, she felt like the whole cast really brought the whole production alive and that they told a truly meaningful story. “I feel opening night as a whole was fantastic. I feel like we really brought the show to life despite the struggles along the way and we really pushed through to bring to life a meaningful story. My favorite part of the performance was the wedding because it was fun just being the lively part of it and portraying someone who loves this kind of event.”
After speaking with Breanna you could really tell how special this production was to the whole cast and crew. The Theater Club worked extremely hard on this production and they are looking forward to performing more productions and bringing more opportunities to the ARTS Department for the Liberty community.
