Veterans Day is a holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War 1, on November 11, on which we honor US veterans and victims of all wars. Liberty High School holds an annual assembly honoring Veterans. The ceremony began with the Liberty band joining the choir in the playing of the National Anthem. Colonel James Dignan spoke for the school and the other visiting veterans. The fifth grade class did a special performance for the veterans, they recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and read letters to their veteran. The high school choir sang God Bless America and the band closed the assembly with the playing of Armed Forces narrated by Gary Knittle. We thank our veterans everyday and we are grateful for everything they’ve given us.
