Striking Out Cancer

On Sunday, October 5, there will be a bowling fundraiser to benefit Susan Ramsey. The benefit will be at Bell Wick Bowling Alley at 6105 W. Liberty Street, Hubbard, Ohio. The benefit is from 1:00-4:00 PM. Two games and shoe rental will cost $10. There will also be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle. Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase.

The benefit was organized by friends of Susan, Mary King and Merideth Myers. They decided to organize the benefit to help defer some of the hospital costs for Susan and her family because she is no longer able to work.

In 2010, Susan was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She was able to win her battle. Susan was cancer-free until recently, when she was diagnosed with colon cancer and a rare stomach cancer called a gastrointestinal stromal tumor.

Susan is married to Christian Ramsey. The couple have four children: Troy, Anthony, Alexis, and Tyler. Susan is a very strong woman. She won her battle against cancer once. And she can surely do it again. She and her family, however, need all the help and support they can get during this very difficult time. They all look forward to seeing many of you at the bowling benefit this Sunday. All of your help is greatly appreciated by Susan and her family. Let’s help the Ramsey family strike out cancer!
