Rachel's challenge sends a powerful message to us as students. It shows us how our words and our actions can bring powerful effects on people. It also shows us with our little actions that we think go unnoticed, can help a person keep on living and not take their own life. Us at young ages can start making a difference now. It had a big affect on students and some of these students really thought about their lives.
When I walked back up to the classroom I saw my fellow classmates hugging and crying together and forgiving each other, and fulfilling Rachel’s dream, but tragically her life ended too soon. I hope one day everyone in the world will it will not matter what color, ethnicity, interests, or differences, everybody will cry together and have no prejudice.
