It is that time of the year again, Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This occasion starts on Tuesday, October 1 and ends on Thursday, October 31. Breast Cancer Awareness month is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research, treatment, prevention, diagnosis and cures. The campaign is a great opportunity to support those affected by breast cancer. A variety of events around the world are associated for helping this cause, this includes walks and runs. The National Football League incorporates the color pink on and off the field, an amazing way to show awareness to the thousands of people who watch football. On October 1, 2017 The White House was lit up pink to spread awareness for the cause. On October 1, 2014 The Empire State building was also lit up pink in honor of the campaign. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an amazing campaign as well as in amazing cause, it is highly encouraged to participate even if it is from wearing pink socks to running for the cause!
