Predictions for Super Bowl LIII

The Rams had the most votes this year, five in total, and LHS senior and football player Justin Cizmar was one of them. When asked why, he said their stout defense is “one of the best in the NFL," and that even if they don't make it, “they will be somewhere near it.” The Chiefs came in close at second place, with four votes. They received a notable vote from Math teacher Mr. Wilde, who also vouched for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, there were also some oddball votes. There were three votes for the Browns, and two votes for New England...and even some students and staff throwing out teams like the Chicago Bears and the San Francisco 49ers. Overall, it was a diverse poll. The results are shown underneath:

Rams: 5

Chiefs: 4

Steelers: 4

New England: 2

Browns: 3

Jaguars: 1

Lions: 1

49ers: 1

Eagles: 1

Jets: 1

Vikings: 1

Chicago: 1

Dallas: 2

Last year, I polled students and staff members and asked them who would win Super Bowl 52. I had interesting

responses, but no one was able to pick the one team out of thirty-two who ended up winning it all, the Philadelphia Eagles. That is unlikely to be the case this year, for I have polled twenty-seven people around the school for their opinion on this year's Super Bowl winner. Surprisingly, there was a lot of diversity, with the highest amount of votes for one team being only five.
