The Leopards, however, would put together a 9-play, 63-yard drive late in the first half as Dra Rushton kept the ball on a QB keeper from 2-yards out for the score as David Sewell, who finished the game 3 of 3 on extra points converted the PAT.

Liberty would jump out to a 21-7 lead as Rushton found the end zone twice in the third quarter on a 38-yard rush and 1-yard rush.

Andree Bowers showed off his basketball skills as he out jumped a Brookfield defender at the goal line on a 3rd and 11 play in OT as Dra Rushton delivered a well-placed ball allowing Bowers to come down with it for the score from 21 yards out and giving the Leopards a thrilling overtime victory.

Liberty found themselves down early as Brookfield scored the second time they touched the ball on a 4-play, 6 yard drive to capitalize off of a Leopard turnover.

Leading Liberty was Rushton who had 87 yards rushing on 17 carries while completing 6 of his 8 passes for

86-yards. Bowers also helped pace the Leopards pulling down 2 receptions for 53 yards and hauling in an interception. Capone Haywood also charted an interception.

The Leopards who improved to 2-2 on the season will travel to Campbell Memorial next Friday to take on the 2-2 Red Devils. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 PM.

Brookfield, however, would answer back with two fourth quarter strikes as Xavier Bailey who finished the game with 142 yards rushing on 19 carries found the end zone from 69-yards out and Alex Clark who chipped in with 75 yards rushing for the Warriors on 20 carries scored from 8-yards out.

The Leopards would, however, bounce back in OT after David Hunt's interception set up the game winning overtime possession for the Leopards.
