Last week from October 7th to the 9th, Liberty High School camp counselors and W.S Guy 5th graders traveled to Camp Fitch. There were 58 5th grade students and 14 High School counselors. The counselors included, Juniors: Samantha Baker, Katelyn Manisaclco, Maia Polecheck, Maggie McKernan, Brennan Romain, Majia Underwood, and Tyjai Dixion, as well as Seniors: Andrew Baumeier, Nick Spisack, Virgis Vinson, Thomas Krakar, Zach Johnson, and Alexa Henery. Counselors were split into four groups and were responsible for 14 to 15 students each. Each day students were given various activities to participate in. The activities ranged anywhere from horebackriding to rock climbing. Everyday the students had a daily schedule of which activities they would take part in for the day. Students were also given a daily activity called Option Time where they got to choose from three activities to participate in for the hour. This trip was also an amazing bonding experience between the counselors and students. We got to share unforgettable moments with them such as, telling stories, roasting marshmallows, skipping rocks on the beach, and singing songs. Overall everyone you got to participate in the trip had an amazing and unforgettable experience and definitely want to do it again.
