The Food Pantry!

On Friday September 6, the Churchill United Methodist Church hosted its monthly food pantry. Our own Liberty High School golf team and 8th grade associates went to assist by gathering food for the attendees. The church had snacks and beverages including coffee and lemonade while the guests waited to be escorted around to gather their food to take home. They even had fresh vegetables from the Girard Community Garden; including corn, hot peppers, potatoes and tomatoes! The church hosts a food pantry the first Friday of every month and are always taking volunteers.
