“You guys sounded amazing!” “The concert was great.” “This might be one of the best concerts I’ve gone to in awhile.” These are just a few things that parents as well as other students were saying about the high school choir concert that also featured the amazing eighth grade. With such a good group of eighth graders, they set the beginning of the concert off on the right note. All the right notes, actually. Then the high school followed up with an even more outstanding sound that rang through the auditorium.
“I wish the eighth graders and the seniors this year were in the same group,” stated Mrs ‘Momma’ Popio on several occasions, “You guys would be great together!” The high school choir featured many solos: Kenya Jones, Sidney Hill, Alexandria Hanson, Allison
Nick Kratsas also deserves an honorable mention for coming to the choir concert and performing even though he is still recovering from surgery. There were moments of energy, calmness, and messages portrayed. Although Mr Diroll was unable to attend and narrate because he lost his voice, the choir did just fine singing All Things Are Connected and didn’t mess up without the narration they were used to having.
Second to the last song was the senior song, All Of Me. The seniors did great except for myself, because I was too busy crying about friends I would miss after this high school experience is completed. The song started off rough with the piano not functioning correctly, but the audience quickly forgot as they heard the passion and friendly love behind the words the seniors sang. Beckinger, Rachel Crum, Naudia
Jones, and Stacie Durden. And they all soared when they sang their parts.
Afterwards, the signature dance song was up last, called “Dance Evolution.” The audience loved it as they laughed almost every second of the comedy dance and became full of reactions when Cameron Clark started with his Hammer Time dance. The concert was great from beginning
to end and probably was the best in quite some time. Tears were shed, smiles were spread, and laughter was made. A time that will
never be forgotten…
