A poem by Jala Beasley-Williams
My eyes start glazing when I look at you because you don't know right where you belong.
I feel warm and safe when you're here with me, but once you slip away my heart begins to dull.
I hold onto these moments because one day you'll be gone. And I can't even choke down the thought of not being in your arms.
So don't let me go, I'll hold on 'till it's over. The sky is crumbling and stars tumble down.
In my eyes are the tears that can fill up an ocean. They're falling, I can't face it now.
I watch the clouds fade out to reveal the sun, and you haven't shed a tear...not one.
