CRL class

 Classing: CRL - Consolidated Rail Leasing: owner

The CRL class is a UGL built locomotive for leasing by CRL however (supposedly) UGL never actually confirmed the order and the locomotives were built in anticipation. 3 locmotives were painted into Aurizon colours without Aurizon branding. CRL004 was outshopped and stored in the 'banana' undercoat colours. In March 2014 CRL 001 and CRL 003 were repinted into Mineral Resources colours after many months of sitting stored at UGL Broadmeadow followed shortly after by CRL's 2 and 4. The 4 CRL's never ended up seeing service but went on to become the MRL class.
