T class

The T's represent the most diverse class of locomotive in Victoria with some being rebuilt, reclassed, bought and sold along with the diversity of designs as the different series improved on the previous order of T. T414 was rebuilt out of DE2, a G8 model locomotive (basically a flat top T) by lowering the nose and giving it a taller cab like the later series T's although it retains the flat top T type radiator and body design. Many T class's remain in service with numerous operators and can also be seen leading trains as well. Many T's have been preserved with a majority of them being flat tops. Some preserved examples can be seen on lease to comercial operators, mainly El Zorro but others may use leased preservation units.
