The victorian railmotors like the locomotives follow a numbering system to avoid number double ups but unlike the locomotives most railmotors were coded RM.
The sprinters numbering does not really fit anywhere in paticular.

The V/line V/locities follow their own unique numbering system as shown here.
1100 series has a disabled toilet equipped
1200 number series has a standard toilet
1300 series is the middle cars
