CL class
Classing: CL - Australian National classing scheme
The CL class was introduced into service by the Commonwealth Railways in 1970. They eventually passed into Australian National's hands. By 1993 AN decided to rebuild them into the CLP class for passenger workings and the CLF class for freight workings. All of the class was kept in the same numbering block but swapped numbers as they were rebuilt and reclassed.
