82 class
The NSW 82 class was orders specifically for coal working within NSW although since delivery they have ventured into other states including Victoria and South Australia. The 82's were built and designed by EMD Canada and shipped to Australia for delivery. All class members remain in the Blue FreightCorp livery despite being owned by Pacific National. There have been 3 write off's within the class, 8219, 8246 and 8247 were damaged beyond repair in a collision. Currently all of the class is allocated to coal hauling duties in NSW and a handful hauling ore in SA. 8221 was scrapped in 2016 following a major fire in 2015 and subsequent stripping to a bare frame after a fuel sight glass failure doused the engine room in diesel.
