Classing: CLF - CL class Freight
The CLF class is the designated freight rebuild of the CL class. The rebuilding included a new EMD 16-645E3C engine and a few other modifications. They have all passed to GWA and QR National (now Aurizon) hands now. CLF7 was used as a parts doner locomotive in Melbourne for a number of years before becoming the first of the class to be scrapped, being moved by road on the 10/10/2016 with a Murrylander sleeper car and demolished by the the end of the same day under the ownership of Aurizon.
