1100 class

The 1100 class was an unannounced order of locomotives from NRE (National Railroad Equipment) in the USA for QUBE. They are new built locomotives with reconditioned engines and traction motors. They were delivered in batches of two with 1103 and 1101 arriving in late 2011. 1103 entered service first and 1101 had been stored? upon arrival. 1102, 1104, 1105 and 1108 arrived in Australia in late May 2012 before being taken to Broardmeadow for comissioning. 1106 and 1107 arrived with Grey in place of silver in their livery and were the last to enter service. 4 more were reportadly due to arrive some time in 2013 however it was unknown if these would be for QUBE or for CRL as there was conflicting information but it seems neither went through with the order as in 2017 no more have arrived and it is unknown how many were constructed as there have only been scarce sightings of unnumbered and unpainted locos at the place of manufacture in the US. in March 2017 it is said that 1109, 1110 and 1111 are coming to Australia for lease service following cancellation of their order during their construction. It is unclear if 1112 will be part of this or if it even exists at the time of writing
