G524 is owned by Pacific National but still wears the Freight Australia scheme. It  re-entered traffic in early 2011 after repairs resulting from a comeng ranning into the back of G524's stationary apex train. Some information suggests G524's engine shifted forward 3 inches sheering off the fastening lugs and requiring significant repairs to be carried out.
