For new content, like the SVD pages, we make sure that everything is copied and formatted properly based on the Google doc.
For updates on existing content, we need to open the PDF the reviewer attached to the Trello card and then compare that to the draft page. We need to make sure everything was implemented and formatted properly.
While previewing the draft page, you need to check for the following:
All updates from the PDF should be implemented on the page.
Text links should open in a new tab. Ensure they work and do not return a 404 error (Salesforce sometimes retires pages or takes down YouTube videos from their channel).
If a link doesn't work, try to find a replacement by doing a Google search with the previous link's name. We only link to official Salesforce materials so that means doc/help pages from the official site/domain or their official YouTube channel. (Exceptions include their official partners, such as Heroku, in which case we use their partner's official site.) Don't worry if you can't find a similar link; just remove the old link/video.
New and updated images should open in a new tab, and the image that's shown in a new tab should be the correct image.
Layout should look consistent, e.g. text aligned properly, spacing between elements are correct, font sizes are consistent.
Images should have a proper title (as much as possible) when you hover on the image. For example, the image caption or diagram heading should be the title on the image, NOT the filename like "process-diagram2" or "screenshot 20190521".
Check the mobile view to make sure everything looks consistent. The mobile layout is slightly different. Scrolling through is usually enough since it's very easy to spot inconsistent font sizes and line spacing.
Fix minor issues yourself as much as possible (to save time on back-and-forth), like inconsistencies with the layout or an image not opening in a new tab. If it's a lot of work, move the card back to "Formatting in Progress" step and mention Zrna (if she is off, backup is Jhorell) with information on the issue(s) you spotted.
If you happen to notice anything unclear in the content itself, feel free to reach out to the reviewer to clarify.
Some content is reused in other pages and they would need to be updated too. Please check if there are related updates by using this sheet as a reference. It includes all the section titles (the boxes with the blue headings) within all toggles in study guides:
(probably needs demo during call)
The above sheet helps us locate similar sections. Let's say a section is reused in page A and B. If the said section has been updated in page A, then we need to update the section in page B as well to do our best to keep all materials updated.
