Screenshots Assignment

Description:  

• Screenshots add value to the question explanation by helping the user understand and visualize the correct answer.  

• The screenshots should be configured to show and explain the answer. They should also be annotated to highlight specific area(s) on the screen related to the correct answer and/or the requirement in the question.

• Lightning Experience screenshot(s) should be added if a feature is available in Lightning Experience.

• Lightning Experience screenshots should be placed before Classic Versions.

• Test Data should be created to show at least 1 record. Avoid using 'Test' for record names.

Time Expectation:

• The time taken to create a screenshot will vary depending on if configuration is required and how complex it is. 

• If no configuration is required, creating a screenshot with an annotation will take around 5 minutes

• If configuration is required, the maximum time allowance for this is 20 minutes. 

• The majority of screenshots should be completed in 5 - 10 minutes

• If the time required is more than 20 minutes, notify the content manager

Cert Improvement / Forum Post Assignment

Description:  

• Users provide feedback in the forum when questions / options/ explanations are not clear, the reference links are out of date or the functionality has changed

• We also create assignments to improve a question based on feedback from users that took an exam and let us know that we need to improve / update / add content

• This assignment is to check and update the question / options / explanation / reference links and screenshots according to user feedback

• The screenshots should be configured to show and explain the answer. They should also be annotated to highlight specific area(s) on the screen related to the correct answer and/or the requirement in the question.

• While updating the question, it should also be reviewed to make sure it includes Lighting Experience

• If the functionality is available in both Classic and Lighting Experience, then Lighting Experience should be explained first and then Classic

• Lighting Experience screenshots should be placed before Classic

Time Expectation:

• The time taken to update a question will vary depending on the differences between Classic and Lighting Experience and if configuration is required for screenshots and how complex it is. 

• This assignment also includes updating the question text, if required to make it clearer

• If no configuration is required, and the functionality is the same as in Salesforce Classic, updating the explanation / option(s) / reference link(s) and creating a screenshot with an annotation will take around 10 -15 minutes

New Question Assignment

Description:  

• New questions are created in response to user feedback or when functionality changes and for release changes 

• This assignment is to create a new question / explanation / reference links and screenshots 

• The screenshots should be configured to show and explain the answer and annotated to highlight areas on the screen that are appropriate for the question.

• If the functionality is available in both Classic and LE, then Lighting Experience should be explained first and then Classic

• Lighting Experience screenshots should be placed before Classic

Description:

• The time taken to respond to a question will vary depending on what needs to be updated and if research is required

• It is expected that as you have certifications / experience in the area, you are not researching / learning the functionality and that you have a basic / good understanding of the topics and are able to respond quickly to most questions 

• This assignment also includes creating a QMS assignment, if required to update the question and to complete the QMS assignment

• The time taken to complete the QMS assignment is not included in the forum post reply time expectation.

• The majority of replies should be completed in 5 -10 minutes.

• If the time required is more than 10 minutes, notify the content manager.

Study Guide Update

Description:  

• The study guides are updated for functionality changes and general improvements

• The update is performed by exporting a pdf version of the page and then annotating with text updates and and links to any new or updated diagram(s) or screenshot(s)

• This task may include updating text, creating / updating diagram(s), and / or creating new screenshot(s)

Time Expectation:

• The time taken to complete this task will vary depending on what needs to be updated and if research is required.

• It is expected that as you have certifications / experience in the area, you are not researching / learning the functionality, and that you have a basic / good understanding of the topics.

• A simple update to update the text will take around 10 - 15 minutes.

• A medium update that includes creating new screenshots and diagrams can take up to 1 hour.

• A large update with new sections, diagrams and screenshots can take up to 2 hours.

• If there are multiple items to update, e.g. from a release update then the update can take more than 2 hours. Please notify the content manager if the update will take more than 2 hours.

• If the time required is more than specified above, notify the content manager.

Study Guide Objective New Content

Description:  

• The study guides topic objective content is created in a Google doc.

• The link to the Google folder for the Google doc will be provided (if you are not sure, ask the Content Manager)

• Google Slides are used for the overview diagrams and other diagrams. 

• Often an existing slide can be adapted, so check for existing slides before starting from scratch

• Search for Noun Project icons to use. Also check slideshop (we have access to obtain slideshop slides / graphics)

• Screencast is used for screenshots. The link to the screencast screenshot is included in the Google Doc as well as the screenshot image

• This task includes creating an overview diagram, content for the topic that matches the objective, creating screenshots, tables and or other visual representations e.g. slides and review questions.

Respond to Study Guide User Comments

Description:  

• Users provide feedback on study guide pages in the form of comments when the explanations are not clear, the reference links are out of date or the functionality has changed

• The Content Manager moderates the comments. If a comment needs a response from a SME, the comment will be copied to a trello card and the reviewer assigned and notified

• This task is to respond in Trello with a response that the Content Manager can use to respond to the user and update the study guide if required. 

• If an extensive update to the study guide is required, the page should be downloaded and the pdf annotated with updates and screenshots
