This is a search screen for all customers with 5 searchable criteria. You can search by customer name, by contact names recorded against a customer, by email addresses, geography or by entering a reference that SLM has previously attached to a customer for example a customer reference (beginning with S), order reference (beginning with R) or Contract reference (beginning with N)
Once the search criteria have been entered then press Find... button alongside the criteria.
This will start a search of the customer database for matching results.
If the user is set up to view Cision data then by default results will include records from Cision. Click on Include/Exclude Cision data to return results that include or exclude data from Cision.
If the search produces no results the above screen will still be displayed and will get a messages advising that no results. If the search did match one or more contributors in the database then the search results in a screen like the one below. In the search results, the customer accounts are highlighted in different colours to specify the status of their account:
Pink- there are overdue invoices for this customer and the account is suspended, but quotes and licences can still be sent
Red- the account has been stopped and it is no possible to send quotes or issue licences until the account has been paid in full
Click on Show.. to bring up a customer's address and the associated list of contacts
Edit to bring up the customer's record and view/update the details
If the required customer doesn't exists then a new record can be created by clicking on Add
To view all Documents stored against the highlighted customer click on Docs
Click on Review to see all the existing requests/licences for the customer
With the required customer highlighted there are two options:
Create a new Redistribution contract
Create a new Licence
