This screen is used to maintain a complete list of byline picture as these are processed separately in RCS.
A byline picture is the small image of an author that gets displayed alongside their articles. These images may be shot by staff or freelance photographers, but are always processed as staff images i.e. images wholly owned by GNM.
Three items of data are used identify byline images:
PicDar URNs
File names
URLS
The screen shots below show the relevant lists for each of the above image properties i.e. a different tab in the screen for each.
Whenever an image is encountered by the matching software that has a property that matches data in one of these lists then it will be staffed as a byline picture.
There is an option to mark an image as not being a byline picture in order to prevent it being staffed in future.
The screen shot below shows the File names list. The underscores in the file name field act as wild cards and usually reflect multiple numbered versions of the same image e.g. 010, 020, 030 etc
The last screen shot shows the URL of the image and is therefore applicable to web images.
