Avoid creating duplicate commissions
If you enter a new commission that the system considers to be a possible duplicate of another commission a warning message is displayed (such as the one below) advising that it might be a duplicate.
The criteria used to determine possible duplicate commissions are:
The Due date matches the Due date of another commission for the same contributor;
The Published date (used when commissioning retrospectively) matches the Published date of another commission for the same contributor;
The Planned publication date (used when commissioning in advance) matches the Planned publication date of another commission for the same contributor;
The Invoice number, if entered, matches an Invoice number already used on another commission for the same contributor.
Please only click the Ignore button if you are certain that the commission you are creating is not a duplicate of another commission. Clicking on View causes a list of the possible duplicate commission(s) to be displayed.
If the commission being created is a duplicate of another it must be deleted or cancelled to avoid paying for the content twice. If any changes are required to the original commission they be applied in the Review Commissions screen. If there is any doubt please contact the RCS Administrator.
