This screen is used to browse published content and to see the matches made and their rights profiles.
The screen opens with the publication as set as theguardian.com and content format set to Story. The search criteria available changes according to the choice of publication and format.
When searching for content on the website (theguardian.com) a URL is available and also a element ID; for print publications there is a page number field. For images (Pictures and Artwork) the user can enter a PicDar URN but not for other formats.
The search results section of the screen also shows slightly different fields according to the format – a word count field for text, an area field for images, and duration for audiovisual content. The screenshot below shows the fields displayed when a Story is searched for on the website:
To find content some criteria will need to be filled in. For Example if the URL of a story is known then this can be entered into the URL field - clicking on Find... will return the content.
The format can be changed by using the drop down options to view content associated with a link (e.g. video and pictures). Selecting blank or ALL in this field returns all content associated with the URL.
It is important to make sure that no other criteria conflict with the URL - e.g. the date period, the publication set to a print product etc. As a rule these can be left blank, as a URL will be enough to find the content.
Click on View... to see the published content in a separate window.
When an item of content is found you can click on the Matches and rights... button to show the matches made against this content and the rights profile.
If the content is produced by staff and is owned by GNM then the following message will come up.
Clicking on Rights... will bring up the Rights profile:
