This screen lists all of the queries (or issues) that have been allocated to the logged in user.
Queries are raised against records of data in RCS and need to be resolved by the allocated user. For example if the details in an expenses claim need to be checked, or the matching of an item of content may be incorrect: in each case a query is raised, via the New query button on the relevant screen, and assigned to the user. Then the assigned user sees their pending queries in this screen.
The "Category" field details which system area the query is from and the "Type of query" field shows the nature of the issue. The user that raised the query will have typed in further details on the Description field. Where the description is longer the the width of the field then double clicking on the field will bring up an editor window showing the whole text.
Context
Different data is shown in the Context section of the screen depending on the Category. For example, if the category is commissions the commission reference and contributor details are displayed, whilst for a matching query the headline and contributor field are displayed.
Processing information
The Processing information section documents who created the query so that any questions can be directed to the creator.
Resolving a query
Click on Go fix... to go to the appropriate screen where the issue can be reviewed and resolved.
On exit from that screen the following prompt asks whether the problem has been fixed. Clicking on Yes will mark the query as resolved and will disappear from the screen
Reassigning a query
If the query is not relevant to the user it was assigned to or if the query needs to be fixed by another user then click on Reassign and a list of active users will appear. Selecting a name from the list will allocate the current query to that user.
Mark as fixed.
To manually mark the query as having been fixed enter the resolution details in the Status field and click on Mark as fixed. The Resolved? checkbox will be checked against the query. Un-checking that checkbox reactivates the problem.
