This screen is used to find out how an item of content was processed by using various search crietria
The selection criteria for the search Search is entered at the top of the screen: you can use a combination of a date range when the content was published, contributor name, content status (Matched; Disregarded; Staffed; Unprocessed) and the published format (Text; Picture; Illustration, Audio, Video or All). When you have entered your selection criteria, click on Find.
If you are searching for an item of content that came from the web then the URL can be inserted into the URL field (make sure the date period is relevant or just clear the values to search the whole database). Choosing a format of ALL will return all content related to the URL (including any pictures, videos etc)
To return to the default settings, click on Reset.
Search results are organised by publication and then by department. Click on each department to see a list of content in the Published content section. Information on the right-hand side of the screen against each item will tell us its status, whether it has been matched, disregarded or staffed. Where relevant a bit more information is shown below the list of published content identifying what the content was matched to (e.g. CRN, ARN) and by whom.
Changing matches
If a item of content has been matched incorrectly or incompletely you can make the changes here. For example an article has been matched as staff by mistake when it should have been commissioned or if it was disregarded. That can be changed by highlighting the content and clicking on one of the un-match options. Under each of the Match/Staff/Disregard buttons the equivalent undo option Un-Match/Un-Staff/Reinstate will be activated.
The content can be then matched by clicking on Match
Disregarding content
When disregarding items, a window will appear with a list of reason and one must be selected.
Matching and rights
Where content has been matched, clicking on Matches and Rights will give more details on the match.
Content Alerts are shown in red if there are any warnings or alerts listed again the content.
Report will generate a PDF of the content currently seen in either selected Department or all content in the screen. There is an option to run either a Summary of Detailed (which will give a larger report with the full Headline/caption field)
If there is currently a query against the item of content then the View queries button will be highlighted in red.
Directory is a quick lookup of all the contributors on the system to check the status (e.g. whether a contributor is freelance or Staff).
The View button displays the highlighted item of Content. For content that has been published in print a PDF of the page will open in a separate tab or window. For web content the button is labelled Web and clicking on it will bring up the content in a separate tab or window.
When reviewing web content the Print window is available and shows where in the newspaper that the content was published.
