JumpCloud Password Manager (JPM) allows you to easily migrate your existing digital credentials and sensitive information from other sources, such as other password managers or browser-saved passwords. This guide will cover how to import Passwords, Payment Cards, and Secure Notes into your JPM.
Important Pre-requisite: Before you start, ensure you have already exported your data from your previous password manager or browser in a compatible format (usually a .csv file). Refer to the documentation of your previous platform for instructions on how to export your data.
General Steps for Importing Data:
Open your Jumpcloud Password Manager App.
Click the "+Add Item" button.
Click on Import Items.
Choose your Import type (Passwords, Payment Cards, Secure Notes)
Choose your Import Source
With .CSV file; JumpCloud provides a template you can download. Simply fill it out and upload it to import your data.
With your previous providers; You can select your previous password manager (e.g., LastPass, Bitwarden) to import your items directly into JumpCloud Password Manager.
Upload the file
Review the items
Click on the Review Complete button.
