Topic and Interview questions

Picking your topic. This does not have to be your Fast topic, it is just for learning how to interview.

In groups of 3

Pick a “Giant” in your life at school, like the ID card policy, family pressures, overcrowding at school, lunch lines, food choices. It could be about divisions you see among students, or ways some people treat others. When you’re thinking of something, ask yourself what bothers you most at school. If you could make one thing better, what would it be?

1. Come up with three “giants” in your group. ( 5 min.). Be prepared to present them.

2. Narrow your giant to one giant. It's ok to take on a giant you heard from another group if you think it's better.

3. Come up with three questions for tomorrow. Write them down so you can have them.

The questions should be more in depth than “what do you think about…”

In depth questions lead the interviewee to say what you want them to say.

Example: What’s one of the worst things about going from campus to ftk?

4. You will film the interviews tomorrow. Be ready by printing the questions out, having them on your phone, or writing them down.
