Thursday Feb 4th is a free showing of all the submitted projects and Friday is the Awards Ceremony.
The San Leandro Education Foundation (SLED) is hosting its inaugural county-wide high school film festival on February 4th and 5th at the San Leandro Performing Arts Center. The SLED Shorties Film Festival was created in order to give film and media students in Alameda County an opportunity to display their talents and creativity.
Students have submitted entries in five categories: Public Service Announcement (PSA), Animation, Documentary, Narrative, and a Challenge. The forty-five entries represent JFK (Fremont), Oakland, Piedmont, Tennyson, and San Leandro high schools as well as entries from Camp Reel Stories in Oakland.
There will a FREE screening of all submitted films on Thursday, February 4th at 7pm. Winners will be announced is on Friday, February 5th, at 7pm. Both events will be held at the Performing Arts Center, 2250 Bancroft Ave., located on the San Leandro High School campus.
Online tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. Tickets sold at the door are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Students must have a school ID for the discount. Children under 6 get in free. We hope to see you there! - See more at: http://www.sledshorties.com/#sthash.PgFJVF08.dpuf
