Making a Movie in After Effects (AKA Rendering)

Rendering a Movie:

1. Be sure you click your composition in the Project window or click somewhere down in the timeline (not on an individual clip!) then Composition > Add to Render Queue or File> Export > Add to Render Queue. Both work the same.

2. The timeline will switch to being the Render Queue.

3. Click the blue link next to Output to:

4. Name your movie using the naming convention and in your After Effects folder or on the desktop, just know where it is going!

5. Click the Render button

When you hear the bling sound your video will be in the place you specified above.
