The Use of Copyrighted Content Is Banned In SLAM

With our new SLAMtv streaming station and our Comcast/AT&T shows, copyrighted content is not allowed in any manner.

Therefore, any media created that contains copyrighted material of any sort will be given a zero and cannot be eligible for a SLAMMY.

If you can get permission from the artist you must email that permission to Mr. Farley so it can be kept on file. This includes music videos. Find a local artist to create a music video for and get their permission.

Some works are covered under the Fair Use provision of the Copyright Law, which is a set of guidelines used to determine if a work can be used without permission. Examples of fair use are works used for news reporting, criticism (if you are critiquing a movie or a song you can use a clip), comment, scientific research, teaching (if you are teaching about something), and parody. Be aware that if the copyright owner disagrees with your use, you may be facing a lawsuit and damages.
