Some topics to avoid
Suicide - It's done too often because it seems like a dramatic ending but it's not.
Drugs and alcohol - if it's not allowed in school it's not allowed in your film. Unless your film is a clear message against their use.
Violence and Guns - No guns.
Sexual contact - No nudity. If it's not allowed on campus, it's not allowed in your film.
Offensive Language - if it's not allowed on campus, it's not allowed in your movie.
Racism, sexism, homophobia - avoid all racial stereotypes in your characters. Do not use accents or street language to personify a character as a certain race unless it is done very carefully and thoughtfully. Don't try to be funny with race, sex, or homophobia even if you are making fun of your own people.
