Paid Summer Internships for 10th,11th, and 12th

The San Leandro Education Foundation is seeking high school sophomores and juniors for summer internships. The internships run for six weeks from June 20 until July 29, and require approximately 16 hours of commitment per week.
A $750 stipend will be awarded to interns in three installments!
Application deadline for the SLED internships is MAY 18.
The internships fall into three categories: Summer School Coaches, Graphic Designer, and Special Projects.
Summer School Assistant Coaches will be assisting middle school students in summer enrichment camps at Jefferson Elementary School. Class subjects will be math, robotics, computer programming, and general science. all classes with be at Jefferson Elementary School, Monday through Thursday from 8am to 12noon.
The Graphic Design intern should be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite programs and have a strong competency in page layout. The intern's main focus will be on designing brochures, postcards and other collateral materials for the Education Foundation. This internship will be at the SLED office, Monday through Thursday from 10am until 2pm.
The Special Projects interns will work as a team of 4 to 6 to design and implement a project that answers the question “How does youth voice fit in with San Leandro’s emerging identity as a hub for innovators and makers.” Ideally each team member will bring a different skill set to the table. By the end of the six-week term, the team will have created an interactive project to be unveiled at the opening of the San Leandro Tech Campus being held in October, 2016. This internship will be at the SLED office, Monday through Thursday from 10am until 2pm.
