Finding Royalty Free Images

When you need images, you usually go to Google Image search. But it's important to know that many images that Google finds for you belong to someone else, like the photographer. You wouldn't want someone stealing your images without your permission or credit so don't steal other photographer's images. So to make sure you only use images with permission, Google has a menu item under the Search Tools.

When searching for an image for student work, you should select anything in the list except "Not filtered by license." Even if an image is labeled for reuse, you should still give credit to the artist, if you can find who it is and how they want to be credited.

As a professional artist you must do this. As a student, you have leeway under the law to use things for educational purposes.

Notice the other tools also, you can select what size you want

Find images Larger than 1024x768 at least.

And what color.

Finding images with "Transparent" often gives you images with the background cut out so you can use them in a composition easily.

Find at least 10 images to put into a slideshow that will go along with your sound story.
