Color Replacement Tool

If you need to change the color of something, you can always do it with Photoshop.

Note: You can only do this with things that have color! The less color, even dark colors, do not work well.

1. Find an image.

2. Find the Color Replacement Tool under the brush.

if you can't find the brush, be sure your workspace is set to Essentials.

3. Set the size of the brush using [ and ], the Mode to "Hue", and the tolerance around 20%. Raise or lower the tolerance if it's not painting well.

Setting the mode to Hue changes the hue only. It does not change brightness. So you keep shadows and details. If Hue does not work well, change it to Color and that will work. But it's more like painting on it.

4. Paint with the tool keeping the central + sign within the color that you want to change.

If it's hard to stay within the lines, switch the sampling buttons to "Sample Once" and it will change only the color that you first click on when you start using the tool.

5. Change a couple colors in your image to get some practice and post your before and after image to G+ with #slamcolorreplace. If you fix your analogous photo, tag it with both tags!
