Or, another way:

1. Find your three images. Drag one to Photoshop.

2. Double-click the layer to unlock it so it's not a background layer. (don't skip this! You'll pay later.)

3. Image > Canvas Size to make your canvas (the background of your image) larger to fit three images. Multiply the direction you want to expand by x3. Mine was 3448 wide so I made my image 10,000.

4. Drag your second image to the canvas, resize and move it, and press return to enter the resize. (use the shift key when you resize or your will stretch your image fat or skinny!)

5. Drag your next image to the canvas, move and resize, press return. A good trick is to stack one image over the other to make them the same size, then move the image over.

6. Create a new layer for your background. Edit > Fill to fill it with a color. (remember to move the layer to the bottom!)

7. Save it. This saves the .psd file, you can't post this to G+.

8. Image > Image size and make it about 1000 pixels wide (NOT INCHES!). Crop it if you need to.

9. Save As .jpeg and post the jpeg with #slamtriptychphoto
