Furfanius

T. Furfanius Postumus (his full name only in Cic. ad fam. VI 8, 3), once had a death threat made against him by P. Clodius, he was a judge in the trial of Milo 702 = 52 (Cic. Milo 75), in 704 = 50 he lead the management of Sicily as, <60> probably, a proquaestor pro praetore, after he had served there in the previous year as a quaestor (Cic. ad Att. VII 15, 2). By Caesar, he was seemingly promoted to praetor, and at the end of 708 = 48 he took on the governorship of the same province for the next year under the title proconsul (Cic. ad fam. VI 8, 3. 9); cf. Klein Verwaltungsbeamten 77-79. 153.
