Sister of the previous Claudia, she was married to M. Brutus around the time her father was consul in 700 = 54 (Cic. ad fam. III 4, 2; Brut. 267. 324), and in 709 = 45 she was driven out by him, even though she wouldn't have given him any reason for complaint (Cic. ad Att. XIII 9, 2, cf. 10, 3). <40>
