Brogitarus


A Galatian (Gallograecus), the step-son of the king Deiotarus; during his tribunate of the plebs (in the year 58), P. Clodius sold him the priesthood of the Mater Magna at Pessinus and the title of king for a large amount of money (grandi pecunia); he had both these things given to him by the people lege tribunicia, Cic. p. Sest. 56; har. resp. 28-29, mentioned also de dom. 129; ad Q. fr. II 7, 2.
