Rufio is picked out as a very common slave-name (eg. on tesserae of this time period CIL I 28.) by Cicero in Mil. 60, <30> perhaps also in ad fam. VII 20, 1, where, however, Cicero could also be referring to a specific slave of C. Trebatius (see there) with this name.
