Claudia 383

vol. III p.2885-2886

383) Claudia

Claudia, the daughter of an Ap. Claudius, married to Pacuvius Calavius who was the highest official in Capua in the year 538 = 216 (Liv. XXIII 2, 6). Since at that time, she already had an adult son, <page break 2885/2886> she is probably to old for her father to have been the consul of 542 = 212 (nr. 293), although his advocacy for the inhabitants of Capua after their city was captured (Liv. XXVI 15, 1ff.) could be partially explained by this family relationship.
