Caci Atrium

vol. III p.1165

Caci atrium

In Rome, it is named in the notitia and the curiosum (Jordan Top. II 553), it must have been in the south-western part of regio VIII, between the Capitol and Velabrum; it cannot have been spatially connected to the scalae Caci (as Gilbert Top. I 50 better than III 417). <10> The age and purpose of the buildings (suggestions for these in Preller Regionen 153) are just as unknown as its exact location.
