Son of one of the two Appii nr. 298 or nr. 299, senator in the year 729 = 25 (Inschr. v. Mytilene S.-Ber. Akad. Berl. 1895, 894), <40> perhaps the Ap. Claudius who was denounced as one of the lovers of Iulia, Augustus's daughter (Vell. II 100, 5).
