Sex. Teidius 2

vol. V A p.127

2) Sex. Teidius

A senator. At the beginning of 702 = 52, he brought the corpse of the murdered P. Clodius, <20> which he had found as he was returning from the countryside, to Rome (Ascon. Mil. arg. 28 K.-S. = 31 St.), and in 705 = 49, he followed Pompey over the sea to Greece, even though he was very old and only had one leg (Plut. Pomp. 64, 7: Τίδιος Σέξτιος mss.). His daughter is probably [Poll?]a Teidia Sex. f., who set up a monument to her husband on the Via Appia (CIL I2 1328 = VI 21 363), perhaps his son or grandson is the suffect consul of 723 = 31 nr. 3. <30>
