142) M. Aemilius M. f. M. n. Scaurus

The son of M. Scaurus nr. 141 and Mucia, grandson of M. Scaurus Princeps senatus nr. 140. In the year 719 = 85, he betrayed his step brother Sex. Pompey to Antony's generals (Appian. b. c. V 142). <10> In the Battle of Actium, he fought on Antony's side, was taken captive, and was going to be executed, but he was pardoned at Mucia's request (Dio LI 2. LVI 38). His son is Mam. Scaurus nr. 139.
