Description
Europe is at a crossroad in 2000. The European Union has grown into the worlds most advanced and complex economic union and it promises unprecedented economic power and political clout. Yet, with it comes the possible loss of national sovereignty and the sacrifice of domestic policymaking autonomy. It is a tough question for the leaders of this age to wrestle with. America is still the undisputed global hedgemon and cooperates heavily with Europe and NATO gives Europe a steel wall that nobody will threaten. It is a time of prosperity, promise, and progress. Yet on the horizon there is the rise of China, the reborn ambition of Russia, and all manner of external crisis's. How will you guide your nation through this time?
Goal
These games are not about "winning" or "losing", but about creating a fun and interesting story. You can play a nation and do something completely different from what it did historically as long as you provide RP behind it. The more radical decisions you make, the more RP is needed to justify it.
Grow the EU into a powerful and wealthy superpower
Either cooperate with the US for mutual gain or force them out of the EU trade and influence wise
Cooperate with Russia and grow closer to the economically or push them out entirely.
Navigate the problems of EU centralization or Decentralization
Try to become a neutral nation which is not apart of the EU but is not entirely isolated
Establish economic alliances or military alliances in order to protect your national sovereignty
