Wesdam was formed to serve as a border nation for the Empire of Anbennar against Lorent, and any other invaders that may come from beyond. For centuries, we served dutifully within this role, and earned ourselves a reputation as a hardy and industrious people. With the start of the Lilac Wars, this was no different, as we stood with our cousin Adenn "Skylance" Silmuna against Lorent and her allies. There was, however, a degree of animosity that had been building between our branch of the House of Silmuna, and the main branch spearheading the war. Adenn had, for some time, been showing casual disrespect to our leader, Marion I Silmuna-Wesdam, and treating us like subjects rather than like cousins. This disrespect became too much when Adenn demanded direct control of our nation and our military. We orchestrated a... shift in allegiances... at the Battle of the Moon Council, and irreversably turned the tide of of the Lilac Wars for the Rose party. Now that the Lilac Wars have ended, we will need to establish a new network of alliances and secure our place within the power network of our distant Lorentish cousins! Or perhaps, we wait until they are weak/distracted, and undo our past wrongs...?

We are no normal noble house. The young heir Laurens Silmuna is still but a boy but his blood is of royal descent. His name is of the Silver families and that which once rules over the Kingdom of Dameria itself. He also has a calim upon the Emperorship itself. Many will call upon him to lead a war and uprising to restore his family ot power when he comes of age but this prospect is a dangerous one and far from certain. There would be many friends but many more enemies. Anbennar is tired of war and with the lands to the west discovered many wish to look outwards not in again. Laurens will have to decide whether to pursue his claim or let it go and look to the future. Either choice leads to danger and opportunity.

Wesdam is on the Westernmost border of the empire. Unlike many of the other marches and protectors of the outter reaches Wesdam chooses to do this through diplomacy and fostering good relations which has proven very effective. We are already in the good graces o many of the wine lords as well as Lorent after the Lilac wars, though our valuable lands will definitely cause issues with them. Regardless of how we choose to move forward we must do our duty and secure the borderlands through conquest of conciliation.

We are on the valuable and mighty damescrown giving us access to the trade that flows through it. As any rich many knows trade and wealth open more doors than even power and brute force. We should utilize our natural strengths and geography to grow out reach in trade and build friendships and forge alliances to pursue  whatever aim we choose. This is surely a path to prosperity and progress!
