Ours is an ancient kingdom and one defined by warfare and the only constant; change. Our kingdom was created out of the fear and conquest the Kingdom of Gawed causes wherever it goes. We have along history with those savage barbarians and we long to see the day they fall from grace and can be written out of the history books.  We pushed them back and gave the halflings fair and good rulers under our ancestors, for which they are thankful. When the Elves landed from their great voyage they found our people welcomgin them with open arms. We gifted them the Redglades, a bbeatuiful forest that reminded them of home and in exchange they have been a loyal vassal and have integrated heavilty into our nobility and culture. Our honor, ettiquete, wisdom, and perspective all come from this union. Our royal family the Soloriel's are one of the Silver families which are half-elves meaning our kings and queens live long lives. At the end of the Lilac war we found our candidate on the throne and with a thankful Wex we are capable of much in the coming years. Our armies and lands are  devestated from these wars and will need time to recover.

After the Lilac wars we found ourselves the winners alongside the Wexard Emperord we instilled but the cost was so high... The Rose orders lies in ruins as its greatest lie dead, buried on battlefields across Anbennar. We were elected to the dove throne after the Silmuna child met her and and by right it was ours, yet those who feared our might saw fit to start these wars which have caused so much harm and destruction.  Many would claim it is our own doing but this is not true, we were asked to rule and did so. When our family had a weak heir the damned Silmuna's decided to try and claim our throne and steal our honor. For this we pushed them back and beset upon them at the Moon Council where we put an ended to the Lilac wars with our friends in Wex. The victory is a costly one. To the south the Winelords have grown strong and we will need a generation to have an army and have prosperity return to our lands.

Gawed is the Kingdom to the north which is as cruel as it is disliked. It was their raids and actions that lead to the formation of Lorent in the first place as they attempt to conquer south. Had they been even remotely reasonable perhaps our ancestors would have agreed but pigs such as them deserve nothing, let alone loyalty. We have fought them time and time again for almost a thousand years. With out weakness at the end of the Lilac wars they will surely use this to try and cripple us permanently. If we can recover and call upon the Wex Emperor we could perhaps do the same. Regardless those scum deserve nothing but the sword.

When the Elves landed in our lands we welcomed them in, recognizing their grace and wisdom as strengths. Our royal family was one of the Silver as we intermarried with their nobles heavily, especially in the Redglades which we granted to them. Elven culture and customs are ones of grace and ceremony which we have integrated into our own. What has resulted is a conglomeration of  Human and Elven customs which have weaved together to make something far more beautiful and worthy of respect. All in Anbennar look to our honor and impressive court life as the staple of elegance.

The armies of Lorent go hand in hand with respect. We are an humorous people and are legions are the same, though ferocity and bravery are of equal status. The great power of Gawed was held back by our armies in the early days of Lorent when we were much smaller. It is testament to the power of our people and our good leadership that we have come so far and this is only possible with our superior force of arms. Though the Lilac wars are ended we know well from experience the next great conflict is never far ahead of us. Let us never forget our proud martial traditions as we move into the future!

Lorentian cavalry is the best in the world, there is nobody equal to our skill on horseback. The Knights of the Rose are a proud and honorable order whose purpose is the upholding of honor and peace as well as serve and protect the throne of Lorent. They have been the core of our armed forces and on the battlefield function as a capable shock component to secure the flanks and route the enemy. We lost most of the order in the Lilac wars and it now lies on the edge of destruction. We cannot let such a proud tradition and useful tool fall to history, it is necessary for us to expend resources to recruit and rebuild it.

The Elven homeland of Aelantir has been rediscovered which provides the opportunity for great riches and power if we go west. We have a huge amount of Elves both in Lorent proper and our march of Redglade. There are many who would wish to return to their homeland which could be incredibly useful to us. We must prepare the ships and resources to be able to build colonies in the old world.
